Oma’s PralinesRomance Cooks

Christmas is my favorite season. I love the sights, the smells, and the tastes. One of my fondest memories is watching my grandmother make her pralines. Now my husband makes them for our holiday. I hope you enjoy the sweet southern confection as much as we do.

Christmas CrackRomance Cooks

I’m happy to be here today to share a favorite recipe for the holidays. Easy peasy to prepare. You can vary using saltines, graham crackers, or even chocolate graham crackers. Peanut butter chips can also be substituted for chocolate chips and almonds or walnuts sprinkled on top. Once you taste the toffee-like confection, you’ll find it addicting hence the “crack” label.

Picnic Baked BeansRomance Cooks

It’s summertime and the living is easy. I grab my aunt’s vintage recipe box and pull out our favorite baked bean recipe for cookouts and picnics. It’s fast and easy and DELICIOUS.

In writing Ace and Lily’s love story, I drew from my experience as a DAC in South Korea. That’s why you’ll find the story sprinkled with cultural details like this delicious BBQ-like dish.
